About the Commercial Banking Group

The Commercial Banking Group (CBG) at Axis Bank provides a wide range of products and solutions in areas such as forex, trade, payments, cash management, and tax payments. It also offers retail banking products like salary accounts, trust services, forex, commercial cards, and credit cards. The group caters to clients with an annual turnover between Rs 10 Cr – Rs 250 Cr.

About the Role – Credit Analyst

The Credit Analyst plays a crucial role in the Credit Appraisal Memo Processing Unit (CAMPU) by analyzing and preparing credit proposals. They assess borrower profiles by reviewing financial statements, market conditions, technical ratios, and management details.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Credit Appraisal & Risk Assessment

• Prepare Credit Appraisal Memos (CAMs) and related notes (reviews, responses to risk observations, etc.).
• Assess borrower creditworthiness in line with the bank’s product suite and credit policies.
• Conduct financial analysis and present findings on market position, management, and technical ratios.

✅ Account Management & Renewals

• Review and re-open accounts as required.
• Maintain an acceptable Turnaround Time (TAT) for tasks like rating, appraisal notes, and renewals.

✅ Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

• Work closely with Relationship Managers to understand client profiles and financing needs.
• Coordinate with the Risk Department to address observations and ensure compliance.

Qualifications & Requirements

✔ Education:

• Graduates with strong academic credentials.
• Preferred: ICWAs, CAs, or Management Graduates.

✔ Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of financial concepts and ratios.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) in English and the local language.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
