The Role:

Senior Quality Engineer

The Team:

The S&P Dow Jones Indices Technology Quality Engineering team consists of global teams responsible for the quality and delivery of applications and infrastructure that power global markets.

The Impact:

This role is essential for accelerating technology development. The ARROW platform serves as the interface for the Golden Database, offering advanced reporting, maintenance, and personalization capabilities. Users can customize dashboards, search indices efficiently, and execute multiple reports through a consolidated input section.

Responsibilities

• Work independently in an agile team and advocate for software testing best practices.
• Develop, execute, and improve test suites based on software requirements and technical specifications.
• Implement test automation solutions using Cucumber, Selenium, and other technologies.
• Perform API/Web Services testing and framework development.
• Manage QA and UAT environments, build deployments, and coordinate production releases.
• Keep up to date with business domain knowledge and ensure test coverage.

What We’re Looking For

Technical Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering (or equivalent work experience).
• Experience: 4+ years in software testing and quality assurance.
• Skills:
  • Testing frameworks: Selenium, Cucumber, Carina (or equivalent).
  • API/Web Services testing.
  • Programming languages: Java or Python.
  • SQL proficiency; familiarity with PL/SQL, NoSQL, Linux/UNIX, Jenkins preferred.
• Industry Knowledge: Exposure to Capital Markets, Equities, Futures, and Options is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
