Job Overview

The Technical Operations team is responsible for the support and enhancement of our aircraft. This includes aircraft maintenance specialists, engineers, planners, ground equipment teams, facilities teams, supply chain groups, and more.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for a wide range of aircraft engine models and components.
• Analyze and solve design, operation, maintenance, performance, or repair issues related to aircraft and their parts.
• Take a methodical approach to problem-solving, define aircraft maintenance programs or configurations, and ensure safe and legal operation.
• Evaluate the cost-effectiveness of fleet decisions, balancing costs with resource utilization.
• Work with both internal and external clients on technical issues, scope proposals, and failure investigations.
• You may work with various engine models, APUs, or thrust reverser models based on current needs.

Additional Duties:

• Review Service Bulletins (SBs) from airframe, engine, or parts manufacturers to assess impact on the United Fleet.
• Develop solutions, project justifications, cost-benefit analysis, and overall management of project execution, which may include obtaining FAA approvals.
• Coordinate and manage work requirements for assigned responsibilities, ensuring project deliverables for both line and base aircraft, as well as maintenance program changes and technical specification modifications.
• Collaborate with other operational teams to ensure airworthiness, safety, regulatory compliance, operational reliability, and efficiency.

Note: This position is offered under local conditions and conditions. Expat assignments and work visa sponsorship (even for temporary visas) will not be provided. This role is with United Airlines Business Services Pvt. Ltd – a wholly-owned subsidiary of United Airlines Inc.

Required Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of engineering experience.
• Engineering skills applicable to a variety of aircraft engine systems and maintenance programs, including operational issues.
• Ability to analyze complex technical issues and handle project management tasks for regulatory compliance adjustments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work in India without sponsorship.
• Proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
• Successful completion of interviews to meet job qualifications.
• Strong and reliable attendance is an essential requirement for the position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Boeing/Airbus Engineering I, Airframe/Powerplant License, or EE license.
• Maintenance check engineering experience on Boeing/Airbus aircraft.
• Knowledge of CFRs (specifically 145, 25, and 121).
• Proficiency with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
