Job Description & Responsibilities

Interactive Brokers Software Services India (IBSSI) is looking for Software Engineers with expertise in Java and experience working in Unix/Linux environments to continuously enhance our client-facing trading applications and back-end systems.

Your Role:

• Design, build, and enhance trading and back-office applications.
• Develop client/server-side code for online applications and create high-volume, robust production applications.
• Work closely with engineering teams in IBKR's European and US offices.
• Optimize large-scale data access and scalability solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• MCA/BE/BTech/MTech/ME in Computer Science or related technical field from a recognized institution.
• 1+ years of experience in large-scale software development or client application development.
• Proficiency in Java and Oracle/MySQL databases.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience working in Unix/Linux environments.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written).

Preferred Qualifications:

• MCA/ME in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• 1+ years of experience developing web and non-web Java applications with Oracle/MySQL databases.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Unix Shell).
• Experience with Spring Framework (Spring MVC).
• Familiarity with REST-based web services (good to have).
• 1+ years of experience in the financial services domain (Brokerage, Capital Markets, Investment Banking, etc.).
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Ability to perform under pressure in time-sensitive situations while maintaining professionalism.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to integrate within a global team.
