Moderate Innovation is seeking a reliable and experienced Loading Vehicle Driver to join our team in Coimbatore. This role focuses on the safe transportation and loading of materials within our facility and to external locations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. As a Loading Vehicle Driver, you will operate various types of vehicles used in material handling, adhere to safety protocols, and optimize operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate loading vehicles such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and delivery trucks to transport materials to and from various locations.
- Load and unload materials from delivery trucks and storage areas.
- Ensure all loads are properly secured and meet safety regulations.
- Perform routine inspections on loading vehicles to ensure they are in excellent working condition, and report any issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of all deliveries and materials handled, including inventory tracking.
- Assist in warehouse organization by coordinating the movement of goods and materials.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and guidelines to prevent accidents and damage.
- Ensure compliance with transportation and logistics regulations.
- Support the team in maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Collaborate closely with warehouse and logistics teams to streamline processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License: Must hold a clean and valid driving record.
- Experience: Proven experience in material handling or a similar role.
- Vehicle Operation Expertise: Proficiency in operating loading vehicles such as forklifts and delivery trucks.
- Safety Awareness: Strong understanding of safety protocols in material handling and transportation.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent organizational skills with a focus on accuracy.
- Team Collaboration: Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Problem-Solving Mindset: Quick thinking and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
Experience
- Minimum Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a vehicle driver in material handling or logistics.
- Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Hands-on experience operating loading vehicles such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
Working Hours
- Full-Time Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
- Flexibility: Occasional overtime may be required during peak periods.
