Job Description

The Project Accountant is responsible for supporting the project team in contract modifications, compliance, payments, reports, and other project-related financial duties. This role may require occasional travel to project sites, with transportation provided if needed. The Project Accountant reports directly to the Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting functions related to assigned projects.
• Assist project teams with accounting-related inquiries and requirements.
• Oversee invoices, payments, and compliance for assigned projects.
• Ensure compliance requirements are met for all assigned projects.
• Process vendor invoices and subcontractor payments accurately and on time.
• Collect and track compliance documentation for financial audits.
• Prepare and generate reports including Payroll, Accounts Receivable, Contract Status, and Job Costing.
• Enter owner billings in Tree Line.
• Make adjustments to job cost reports as needed.
• Perform other related accounting duties as assigned.

Required Skills

• Strong accounting knowledge and experience in project-based accounting.
• Proficiency in financial reporting and compliance tracking.
• Ability to process invoices and payments accurately within deadlines.
• Experience in handling subcontractor and vendor transactions.
• Strong skills in job cost adjustments and contract management.
